StormTracker Team Forecast…Areas of patchy fog will be possible through mid-morning. Fog will not be an issue by mid-morning as it is expected to mix out, leaving us sunny to mostly sunny. By the afternoon, expect temperatures to warm into the mid and upper 70s with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Thursday will be similar, except it will be a touch more humid and we will see more cloud cover. We stay dry until Friday.
The next cold front may begin to push into the region starting on Friday, but it may not pass through the area until Saturday morning. Rain chances have been trimmed to around 40% during the afternoon on Friday, 80% Friday night/overnight, and 40% for Saturday morning. A strong storm or two will be possible. Organized severe weather is not expected at this time, but we cannot rule out a marginally severe storm. As of right now, the LSU vs Arkansas game looks to be dry and cool with clearing skies, but that can change. Be sure to check back in with the StormTracker Team on-air and online as we fine-tune the forecast.
Another system is expected to move through the region early next week, which is concerning for Thanksgiving travel. Some models are pointing toward a potent storm system, whilst other models show a weaker system. This is still about a week away, so it is too early to determine the exact timing and strength. We will be monitoring it very carefully in the coming days.
