FLASH FLOOD WATCH [now- Thursday 12:00 pm] – An additional 1-3″ of rain is possible through early Thursday. Be cautious of high water and ponding. Do not drive through flooded roadways. The Comite and Amite Rivers are forecasted to reach minor flooding. Waters should recede by the weekend.
Tonight – Spotty showers. Overcast and mild. Lows near 61.
Tomorrow – More storms, heavy rain near daybreak; Skies remain cloudy. Highs near 71.
Extended – The current wet pattern continues through Saturday. We’ll see another batch early Thursday morning. An additional 1-3″ of rain is possible. Rain becomes more spotty on Friday. Some early thunderstorms are still likely for Saturday morning. A drier and more stable pattern arrives on Sunday. We’ll finally get back to an extended period of sunshine.
Temperatures will sit a few degrees below average until the weekend. Daytime highs sit will sit in the 60s and 70s. Lows will dip into the 50s and 60s. Temperatures become more seasonable next week.
