Tonight: A Freeze Warning is in effect from 4 AM to 9 AM for areas along and north of the I-10/I-12 corridor. Low temperatures will be in the mid 30s for most areas, but some areas, especially north and east of Baton Rouge may briefly dip down to freezing or right below freezing. Either way, it’s going to be a cold and frosty start to the day. Best to keep the plants indoors for another night. Do not forget about your pets!
Thursday: Beautiful and sunny with highs in the lower 70s. Low humidity still sticks around. Overnight temperatures will be in the 40s.
Friday: We’re even warmer with highs in the lower 80s. Humidity will begin to climb, but it’s still going to be rather pleasant. Overnight temperatures will be in the 50s.
Saturday & Sunday: It’s going to be a nice weekend overall, but it’s going to be warmer and a bit more humid. Highs will be in the low and mid 80s.
Next Week: Another front is expected to move into the area on Tuesday and Wednesday. This front will be Pacific Northwest based so it will not bring us a major cooldown. It will bring us some showers and highs back down in the 70s and mornings in the 50s. The details are still unclear at this time.
Tracking the Tropics: No tropical development expected for the next 5 days – woohoo!
