Tonight: Showers should begin to taper this evening, but there may still be a few showers overnight. Areas of patchy fog by morning. Morning low near 69.
Thursday: A disturbance, as well as a surge of Gulf moisture, will lead to numerous showers and storms. Locally heavy rain will be possible. Rain chances for now are around 70%. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s. Mornings in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Friday: Lower rain chances thanks to ridging in the Gulf, but our area won’t be totally dry. Highs will be in the mid 80s.
Weekend: Spotty showers on Saturday, but not all areas will see rain. Higher rain chances return on Sunday. Highs in the mid 80s. Mornings in the 60s.
Next Week: Scattered to numerous showers and storms on Monday and then spotty rain on Tuesday. A cold front may pass Tuesday. If it passes, we would have drier and nicer weather with highs in the lower 80s and mornings in the lower 60s.
Tracking the Tropics: Sam is forecast to curve out to sea, thankfully. Tropical Depression 20 will become Victor, but it will be a fish storm. Next names on the list are Victor and Wanda and then we would have to move to the supplemental list. The Greek alphabet has been retired after the 2020 season.
