Tonight: Any rain that is out there this evening will fade later this evening. We’ll be mostly quiet overnight. Morning temperatures will be in the mid 70s.
Thursday: Scattered to numerous showers and storms. Storms may produce downpours, gusty wind, and lightning. Highs will be in the lower 90s, but it will feel like the 100s.
Friday-Sunday: Ridge of high pressure will keep things generally on the dry side and very hot. We may not be totally dry Friday and the weekend, but rain coverage will be significantly lower. Highs will be in the mid 90s. That same ridge will keep Hurricane Grace away from our area.
Next Week: Hot with spotty storms. Highs in the mid and upper 90s.
Tracking the Tropics: Hurricane Grace is forecast to track toward the Yucatan and then toward the mainland of Mexico. Henri also developed in the open Atlantic near Bermuda. Henri may even track toward the Mid-Atlantic or New England. No threats to Louisiana.
